Information for securities trading companies

Contributions

Affiliated securities trading companies have to pay their contribution annually as per September 30. New companies which have not been affiliated for a complete year have to make a one-time payment in the first year.

One-time payment

Securities trading companies which have not been affiliated to the EdW for a complete year have to pay a one-time payment for the respective year which is 0.35% or 3.5% of the liable capital depending on the scope of the licence issued by the BaFin, but at least EUR 300.

Annual contribution

The annual contribution is determined by scope of the licence issued by the BaFin for rendering financial services and amounts to 1.23%, 2.46%, 3.85% or 7.7% of gross commission income and of gross earnings on financial transactions, however, not more than 10% of net income. The minimum contribution for all EdW-affiliated securities trading companies is EUR 1.050.

The relevant percentage which a company has to apply for the calculation of its one-time payment and its annual contribution given the scope of its BaFin licence is specified in the "Regulation on the contributions to the Compensatory fund of the securities trading companies established with Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau (EdWBeitrV)".
